Carpentry

Our Carpentry studio is an introduction into woodwork looking at designing, making and exploring (tinkering) with tools and media. The sessions are there for the children to create something of their own design or through group work. The children will be developing skills, turn taking, measuring, listening skills, team work, language, self-esteem, shape, independence, experimentation, responsibility, concentration, discovery, fine and gross motor skills. The children are spoken to about construction, sculpture, tools and tool safety, also the importance of sustainability and repurposing where possible. Empowering them to have a can do it attitude.
